Directors Magnus Goodlad - Chairman Magnus is Chief Operating Officer of Modern Waste’s parent company, IP Group plc and has worked for IP Group since 2004 following the acquisition of Top Technology Ventures. He joined top Technology Ventures, IP Group’s venture capital fund management subsidiary, in 2000 after four and half years with Slaughter and May where he practised a wide range of corporate and finance law. Karen West - Business Development Director Karen co-founded Modern Waste with IP Group Plc. Karen has extensive experience of identifying and developing leading edge technology opportunities. Karen has held leading business development roles at First Technology Plc and Smiths Detection where she was instrumental in developing and executing the organic and acquisitive strategy that underpinned both companies growth. Karen is a chartered accountant. Vic Cocker CBE - Director Vic founded WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management and a Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management. Previously, Vic spent 26 years in the water industry before retiring as Chief Executive of Severn Trent plc in 2000. Michael Averill - Director Mike spent thirteen years as group Chief Executive of Shanks Group plc, Europe's third largest independent waste management company. Mike continues to act in an advisory capacity for Shanks, is a non-executive director of TDG plc, Care UK plc and WRAP. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management. Greg Smith - Director Greg is Group Financial Controller of IP Group plc. |
